Can’t quit this shawl

Another Uni-horn Magic Shawl seems to have fallen off of my needles this winter. I started it in November, and just kind of worked on it when I needed my mind to be working on different things, or when I couldn’t muster the brain-power to do actual designing. It was the perfect salve for the non-stop-ed-ness that is a busy winter, and when I finished it, I was kind of surprised that it was actually done.

This one is in Woolen Boon Boone Classic in Buffy and Platypus Prime. I love the super-subtle differences in the colorways, and how very softly-focused the finished shawl turned out to be. It’s quite different than my more vibrant Uni-horn Magic Shawls, and is a fabulous addition to my tower of shawls.

If you’re looking for a fun and quick excuse to use two skeins of fingering-weight yarn, you really can’t go wrong with this shawl. It’s fun, fast, and super duper wearable. In fact, this shape, this asymmetric triangle shape, is quickly becoming my favorite shawl to wear. Almost every new design idea I’ve been having lately revolves around this shape…
