Kinda Twinnies

Kinda Twinnies

These Kinda Twinnies Hats just kinda happened. I recently fell madly in love with Blue Moon Fiber Arts Targhee Worsted, and, woah, baby, those skeins are huge. So, making two kinda-the-same-but-not-really hats with the same colors just kinda made sense to me.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: Small (medium, large): 18 (20, 22)” circumference, 8.5 (9, 9.5)” from cuff to top of crown.
  • Yarn: approximately 165 yards worsted-weight yarn, split between 2 colors as follows: 115 yards color A and 50 yards color B. I used Blue Moon Fiber Arts Targhee Worsted, colorways Stormy Weather (color A) and Spawn of Scum (color B).
  • Needles: US8/5mm needles for small circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge, and the same needles, one size smaller, for brim.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 21 sts = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking. 20 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking.
