Rustic Reset

Sometimes, you just need a knitterly palate-cleanser. A project that is simple enough to work on whenever you have a spare moment, but enjoyable to bring into existence. There’s nothing like a simple, textured shawl in a lovely, rustic yarn to give you that project-reset. Mix and match two colors in a DK-weight yarn to create a Rustic Reset of your very own.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: 65″ wingspan, 15″ deep at center, after enthusiastic blocking.
  • Yarn: approximately 480 yards total DK-weight yarn. I used Snowqualmie Valley Yarn in Ice Blue (cA, 280 yds) and Coreopsis (cB, 200 yds), plus a bit of cotton or smooth yarn for Provisional Cast On.
  • Needles: US6/4mm (or size to obtain gauge) circular needle, 24″ or longer.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 18 sts & 18 rs = 4″/10 cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking.
